A privately owned Warrington based Group of companies with a number of based operational sites is looking to add an entreprenurially minded Finance Director to the Senior Leadership Team.

Following a recent transacation, the business has strong projected growth and is taking this oppoprtunity to add a finance leader who can contribute to its commercial and operational goals whilst leading the day to day finance function.

Reporting to, and working closely with, the Managing Director the key responsibilities of the role include:

Board

• Deliver the vision and mission
• Deliver the organisational strategy.
• Meet statutory Director's duties and responsibilities as set out in the Companies Act.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Advise the board on investment opportunities which maximise shareholder returns.
• Develop financial systems to ensure robust financial reporting.
• Provide commentary to the board to evaluate the company's financial performance.
• Make recommendations on how profitability can be improved.
• Ensure budgets and forecasts are produced to allow Directors to monitor and control company performance.
• Undertake analysis and financial forecasting to ensure the business can meet its financial obligations.
• Ensure the company has adequate sources of finance to deliver the Strategic Plan.
• Ensure the company complies with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Establish processes and procedures are established to minimise the risk of financial loss.
• Analyse political, economic and industry trends to assist with strategic planning.
• Lead and develop a high-performance finance team.
• Coordinate with external auditors to ensure correct preparation of statutory accounts.

The role of the Finance Director is to minimise the financial risk to the organisation and support strategic decisions.

The role requires a highly analytical leader who can operate at a strategic level. The ideal person will be a fully qualified accountant with a proven track record of leading a finance function whilst demonstrating that they can add operational and commercial value at a board level.

The role is hybrid, predominantly based in Warrington with occasional travel to sites up and down the UK as is needed.

Experience of working in an opreational, site based environment such as manufacturing, FMCG, logistics/distribution or retail is a neccesity.
