We're working with a growing, fast-paced business that is looking to add an Assistant Accountant to its finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious finance professional who is studying towards ACCA, CIMA or a similar qualification and wants to gain hands-on experience in a role that offers genuine development and progression.

This isn't a role where you'll be stuck processing the same transactions every day. You'll gain exposure across month-end, management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, project costing and commercial reporting, working closely with both finance and operational teams across the business.

The environment is busy, collaborative and constantly evolving, making it ideal for someone who enjoys being challenged, taking ownership and developing their skillset.

What You'll Be Doing

• Supporting the production of monthly management accounts
• Preparing accruals and prepayments
• Performing balance sheet reconciliations
• Assisting with budgeting and forecasting activities
• Cash flow reporting and analysis
• Project and contract costing support
• Reviewing expenses and company card transactions
• Producing financial reports for stakeholders across the business
• Supporting process improvements and finance projects

About You

• AAT qualified or studying towards ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent
• Previous experience within a finance or accounts role
• Strong Excel skills and good attention to detail
• Eager to learn, develop and progress your career
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment and managing multiple priorities
