A growing private owned manufacturing company with its Head Office in the outskirts of Manchester (West), is looking to add a Finance Manager to its team following major investment from a larger, global group.

Working closely with the Group CFO and senior leadership team, the Finance Manger role will look to develop into a Head of Finance role over time.

Managing the day to day finance function, the Finance Manager will have experience of all elements of running that day to day including year end and month end accounting, financial analysis, business parterning and supporting transactional finance activities.

Due to recent changes the role holder will also have experience of finance leadership, integration of finance systems and processes as wel being technically strong and commercially aware.

Other key responsibilities include:

• Develop financial systems to ensure robust financial reporting.
• Provide commentary to the board to evaluate the company's financial performance.
• Make recommendations on how profitability can be improved.
• Ensure budgets and forecasts are produced to allow Directors to monitor and control company performance.
• Undertake analysis and financial forecasting to ensure the business can meet its financial obligations.
• Ensure the company has adequate sources of finance to deliver the Strategic Plan.
• Ensure the company complies with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Establish processes and procedures are established to minimise the risk of financial loss.
• Analyse political, economic and industry trends to assist with strategic planning.
• Lead and develop a high-performance finance team.
• Coordinate with external auditors to ensure correct preparation of statutory accounts.

PLEASE NOT THIS ROLE REQUIRES SOMEONE TO WORK 5 DAYS A WEEK ON SITE IN GREATER MANCHESTER.
