Are you a strong, practice-trained Management Accountant (first or second move from practice) looking for your next step in industry? If so, this could be the ideal opportunity.

This role offers a clearly defined progression path into senior finance leadership. Working closely with the Financial Controller and Head of Finance, you will be on a structured development path toward Assistant Financial Controller and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver the month-end close process, including detailed review of key journals such as income and payroll accruals.

• Take ownership of the company and Group balance sheet, ensuring all balance sheet reconciliations are completed monthly and reviewed thoroughly.

• Lead the statutory audit and tax compliance processes, maintaining robust financial controls and procedures throughout the year.

• Act as the key finance sponsor for Sage Intacct, driving continuous improvement through systemisation and automation to reduce the impact of high transaction volumes on team workload.

• Line management responsibilities, including review of daily and monthly bank reconciliations, as well as oversight of other key control accounts and sub-ledgers.

What We're Looking For

• ACA qualified accountant

• Practice-trained, with 1-2 years' post-qualification experience in industry

• Audit experience

• Strong technical accounting foundation with the ambition to progress into senior finance leadership

• Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking ownership in a fast-paced environment
